Believing in "hands on" as the best tool for the child's education and enjoyment, CHS will implement arts and craft lessons, putting emphasis on holidays and nature, as most of the holidays are correlated to the concept of agriculture.
At the sessions we will create projects using different materials, such as wood, plastic, glass, cardboard, acrylic paints and much more. Utilizing the spirit of Go-Green and remaining environmentally friendly we will be using recyclable materials as well.
Kids in the Kitchen
Our students will enjoy an opportunity to get into our beautiful kosher kitchen and create their own CHS cookbook with some of our favorite Jewish foods.
Here are some of our favorite recipes:
Borekas, chicken matzo ball soup, honey cake, latkes with homemade apple sauce, rugelach.
A Jew Like You
We have a wonderful and diverse Jewish community here in the Pacific Northwest. Our students will have the privilege of hearing and interacting from an array of guest speakers from within the Jewish Community as they present their unique stories and backgrounds.
All this and our ongoing top notch curriculum, I can't wait to get started!
